DO YOU WANT TO BECOME ACIVE MEBER REGISTER HERE TO JOIN A COMMITTEE

The best and easiest way to develop yourself and get to know new people is by joining a committee. You learn to work together with a group of peers, experience what it is like to organize large events such as a congress or a party and make friends for life. From September it is possible to sign up for one of the committees, keep a close eye on the website and social media channels of Labyrint!

Labyrint has a total of 11 committees. Each committee either organises different types of activities, designs the yearbook or the association magazine deSofa. Activities can be either study-related or social in their nature, relating to for example cultural or sporty themes. All the upcoming activities can be found under Events in the calendar on the website.

Besides the regular committees, Labyrint also has an advisory board. The advisory board serves the board of the association by giving advice to aid the progression of Labyrint. Additionally, Labyrint also has a treasury committee that checks all the financial accountancy and provides the treasurer with financial advice.

Study association Labyrint will have the following committees in the academic year 2020-2021:

All Years Weekend Committee (AYWcie)

The All Years Weekend Committee organizes an All Years Weekend in February  to a foreign city, such as Ghent or Lille. The weekend is all about fun and bonding between members of all years. Therefore, there is a lot of freedom in the choice of activities.

This committee is only open to Dutch speaking students.

Congress Committee (Congresscie)

The Congress Committee organizes a large psychology congress. During this congress, about twenty-five speakers from different specializations within psychology will talk about their own experiences in the field. The congress is organized for psychology students so they can orient themselves on their master and career after graduation. There will also be a lunch and drinks.

This committee is open to international students.

deSofa Committee (deSofa)

deSofa Committee produces Labyrint's association magazine: deSofa. The committee is responsible for writing the articles, the layout of the magazine and sending it to the members. Three times a year an edition of the deSofa is in the mailbox of every Labyrint member, or can be viewed in the Labyrint common room.

This committee is open to international students.

Interrail Committee (Interraicie)

The Interrail Committee will organize a four-day train trip to two foreign cities this year. The interrail is a study-related trip which will include at least one excursion to a foreign university and two other study-related activities. Furthermore, there is of course plenty of time for social activities.

Introduction Committee (Introcie)

The Introduction Committee organizes two activities: the parents’ day and the first years weekend. The first years weekend in September is meant for the first-year students to get acquainted with each other and of course with Labyrint. Related to this, the committee organizes a theme announcement and a reunion. On the parents' day, all parents will have the opportunity to see the university and attend work groups and lectures. This committee will be working partly during the summer vacation.

This committee is only open to Dutch speaking students.

Lustrum Committee (Lucie)

The Lustrum committee will organize three activities in the lustrum week: an activity for alumni, a social afternoon activity and a big lustrum gala. The activities in the lustrum week will be bigger than normal social activities.

This committee is open to international students.

Lustrum Trip Committee (Lustrumreicie)

The Lustrum Trip Committee will organize the lustrum trip. This will be a trip of about ten days, of which the destination is a lot further than that of a regular study trip. The committee will determine the destination and the activities of the trip.

This committee is only open to Dutch speaking students.

Network Committee (Networkcie)

The Network Committee organizes activities that are interesting for alumni. Alumni are Labyrint members who have finished their studies but still want to be connected to the association. The Network Committee organizes a symposium, a volunteer day and a workshop. Of course, current students are also welcome at these activities. The activities give students an idea of the many possibilities after the study of psychology and are therefore also attractive for master students. In addition, this committee writes a newsletter twice a year especially for the Labyrint alumni, so they can stay informed about relevant activities and developments within the association.

This committee is only open to Dutch speaking students.

Sports and Education Committee (Spoedcie)

The Sports and Education Committee will organize a case study day, a workshop and two sports activities: one in the winter and one in the summer. This committee offers a perfect balance of both study-related and social activities.

This committee is open to international students.

Party Committee (Fecie)

The Party Committee will organize two theme parties, a Laby Only Party, a pool party and the lustrum party this year. The committee will determine the theme, location and content of the parties. This committee is very suitable for first year Labyrint members.

This committee is only open to Dutch speaking students.

Yearbook Committee (Yearbookcie)

Every year Labyrint publishes a yearbook. This is a book that contains, for example, pieces about all the committees. This year there will be an lustrum edition! Highly recommended for creative minds with an affinity for design! Related to this, the committee organizes a theme announcement and a distribution.
