Pieter de la Court Building
The main building of the Faculty of Social Sciences is housed in the Pieter de la Court Building. The premises in the building are indicated by four signs: the first sign is the floor (S = basement, 1 = first floor, and so on); the second is A or B (the left half of each floor is A, the right half is B); the last two digits indicate the number of the room.

Labyrint Common Room
Study association Labyrint has its own room, called the Common Room. Labyrint members are welcome here for free coffee, tea and fruit. You can also sit here and chat with other members. In the Common Room you can also collect summaries, buy tickets for activities or Labyrint merchandise. During the opening hours there is always a board member present for all your questions or to have a nice chat. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 the common room is closed until further notice

Social Sciences Library
In the Social Sciences Library, you can not only borrow books, you can also study undisturbed. The recently renovated library has 210 study places, 60 of which have a fixed PC.

Study places and printers
In addition to the library, the Pieter de la Court Building has 387 computer workstations. You will find these in the basement, on the 1st to 4th floors opposite the stairs and in the following computer rooms: 1A26, 1A28, 1A30, 1A32, 1A46, 2B04. When classes are taught in these rooms, the computers are temporarily unavailable.
You can find regular study places throughout the building. The tables on the 5th floor, the tables behind the restaurant and the cubicles on the 1st floor are particularly popular.

Restaurant and cafe
On the ground floor of the Pieter de la Court Building you will find a café for the tastiest snacks and drinks, but also a restaurant with a diverse range of sandwiches and hot meals.

Café opening hours: Mon to Thu 8:30 - 18:00 and Fri 8:30 - 15:00
Career Service
The Career Service offers advice and support with questions about study (re)choice and master's choice, study career and the transition to the labor market. They can check your CV and LinkedIn profile, help you with your application letter and looking for an internship or job. They can also discuss with you what else you can do during your studies to build your CV.

POPcorner
The POPcorner supports all FSW students in their personal development. They help you make a good start. And, the POPcorner helps you quickly find your way inside the faculty.

Study advisers
You can contact the study advisers if you run into problems, such as a study delay or for questions about study planning, exam schedules, etc. Make an appointment with your study advisor via the desk (or telephone) of the Student Services Center (SSC) on the ground floor. They will then schedule an appointment during one of your study advisor's office hours.
The study advisor of your study program thinks along and guides you with questions about:
- the content, structure or planning of your study
- a disability or personal circumstances
- study delay and registration study delay in connection with finances

Student Services Center (SSC)
The Student Services Center is the point of contact for all your practical study questions.
You can go here with questions about:
- registering, changing and deregistering exams
- issue of lists of marks (certified printout / statements)
- petitions
- study results in uSis
- information about contact with study advisors
- information about applying for a diploma / graduation
- other questions about your studies: if you don't know who to go to, drop by here.

Servicedesk
You can contact the Service Desk when:
- you need recording equipment for a study assignment. You can borrow cameras and voice recorders from the Service Desk.
- you need a room. Do you need space to discuss an assignment with your workgroup? Mail the Service Desk if there is a space available.
- you have problems with your LU-Card or when there is a malfunction of a printer. Report it to the Service Desk and they will solve it!
