Study association Labyrint will have the following committees in the college year 2025-2026
All Years Weekend Committee (AYWcie)
The AYWcie organizes a three day trip to a foreign city like Gent or Lille. The weekend is all about fun and bonding between members of all years.This committee has all the freedom in deciding the destination and the activities for this weekend! Besides the weekend away, this committee organizes a cantus during the diesweek, a typical student evening with many songs and drinks, and a reunion!
Congress Committee (Congresscie)
The Congress Committee focuses on educational activities that broaden your knowledge. For example, the committee organizes a lectures and the PTP Congress (Psychologists' Future Perspectives Congress). If you like arranging speakers to teach your fellow students about their future career prospects, then this is the committee for you!
deSofa Committee (deSofa)
The deSofa Committee creates the Magazine of the study association: deSofa! The committee writes articles, does the lay-out for the magazine and combines this to a beautiful edition three times a year. The committee will also organise two small Release Party's and a Writing Session to promote the new deSofa. Can you see yourself writing an interesting article? Or perhaps creating the most beautiful illustrations for the layout of a page? Then the deSofa committee is for you!
Education Committee (Onderwijscie)
The Education Committee will organise activities for educational purposes. This committee will organise a Quiz Night, a lecture and a workshop. If you are interested in being occupied with academic related activities, this committee might fit you!
First Year Weekend Committee (FYWcie)
The First-Year Weekend Committee organizes the First Year Weekend, the ultimate introduction weekend for new members. This weekend is filled with fun activities, lively evenings, and the perfect opportunity for first-years to get to know each other and the association better. In addition, there is an information evening and a reunion.Together, we ensure that new members have an amazing start to their student life!
Be aware that this committee takes place in the second semester. The sign ups will open later.
Long Studytrip Committee (Studiereiscie)
The Long Studytrip Committee will organize a multi-day trip to a European city that will last approximately seven days. This is the biggest trip Labyrint organises every year! There will be both social and study related activities during the trip. This committee has the freedom to decide the destination and the activities. After the trip, the committee organises a reunion.
Network Committee (Networkcie)
The Netwerkcie organizes activities that are interesting for students that want to know about the workfield of psychology and alumni. The Network Committee organizes a an inhouse day, a Networksymposium, and an Alumni lecture. The activities give students an idea of the many possibilities after the study of psychology and are therefore also attractive for master students. In addition, this committee writes a newsletter three times a year for the Labyrint alumni, so they can stay informed about relevant activities and developments within the association.
Party Committee (Fecie)
The Party Committee will host three theme parties, a pool party and an end of the year party this year. The committee will determine the theme, location and format of the parties. This committee is very suitable for first year students and is open to both Dutch and English speaking students.
Social Activities Communittee (SoAcie)
Throughout the entire year the SoAcie will organize four various social activities, like a Christmas dinner, the Dies Gala and a social activity of their own choosing. These are all activities that are about the bonding between members.
Short Studytrip Committee (Bezoekcie)
The Short Studytrip committee organises a Studytrip of multiple days to a foreign city with a university! About forty members join this trip each year. During the trip, the committee will plan social and study related activities. Here you can think of visiting a university, but also a pub crawl or visiting an old castle! The committee will also organize a social activity and a reunion. The Short Studytrip Committee is an incredibly fun committee if you are interested in trip planning and guiding groups.
Starting Commitee (Startcie)
The Startcie is a committee mainly focused on first-year members who want to take their first steps into the association’s social life. This committee offers the perfect opportunity to gain experience by organising events such as the Parents Day, a first-year activity, and a fun boat trip! If you are looking for an accessible way to get involved in the association while organising enjoyable activities, then the Startcie is the perfect place to start your Labyrint adventure! This committee is open to Dutch speaking students only.
Wellbeing Committee (Wellbeingcie)
The Wellbeing Committee organizes two activities throughout the year. This committee focuses on raising awareness of mental and physical well-being. It will organise a mental wellbeing activity during Leiden University’s ‘Well-Being Week’ and the Laby Run, which is a big charity run to raise funds for a mental health-related cause. This committee is open for only Dutch speaking students.
Yearbook Committee (Yearbookcie)
At the start of the academic year, Labyrint publishes a yearbook. This is a book that contains fun pieces about all committees, overview of the past year and other fun creative elements.. Additionally, the committee organizes a theme reveal a social activity of their own choosing. The Almanakcie is highly recommended for creative minds with an affinity for design!
