Study association Labyrint will have the following committees in the college year 2024-2025
All Years Weekend Committee (AYWcie)
The All Years Weekend Committee organizes a weekend away to a European city, such as Ghent or Cologne. The weekend is all about fun and bonding between members of all years. Besides organizing the All Years Weekend, the committee will also organize the destination announcement and reunion of the trip and a cantus during the diesweek. This committee is open to Dutch and English speaking students.
Community Committee (Communittee)
The Community Committee activities to increase the social engagement of students and the study association. The committee will only organize activities during the first semester, which include: a sustainability activity and a volunteer activity. Due to the short duration of this committee, it is possible to have an active year within Labyrint, even if you are not in the Netherlands for the second half of the year.
Congress Committee (Congresscie)
Do you enjoy engaging with your studies in a serious way and learning a lot about different fields in Psychology? Then the Congress Committee is perfect for you! The Congress Committee focuses on educational activities that broaden your knowledge. For example, the committee organizes two lectures and the PTP Congress (Psychologists' Future Perspectives Congress). If you like arranging speakers to teach your fellow students about their future career prospects, then this is the committee for you.
deSofa Committee (deSofa)
The deSofa committee is the most creative committee you can find within Labyrint: you'll find a combination of writers, artists, and people who can even do both! Can you see yourself writing an interesting article? Or perhaps creating the most beautiful illustrations for the layout of a page? Then the deSofa committee is for you. Starting this year, the committee will even hold small release parties to put the spotlight on our most beautiful magazine. Extra fun about the deSofa committee: the articles can be about anything! From psychology-related to funny sections, we make it all.
Party Committee (Fecie)
The Party Committee will host three theme parties, a pool party and an end of the year party this year. The committee will determine the theme, location and format of the parties. This committee is very suitable for first year students and is open to both Dutch and English speaking students.
Well-being Committee (Wellbeingcie)
The Wellbeing Committee organizes three activities throughout the year. This committee focuses on raising awareness of mental and physical well-being. It will host an activity centered around mental well-being during Leiden University's ‘Well-Being Week,’ the LabyRun, a charity run to raise funds for a mental health-related cause, and finally, a sport activity.
Long Studytrip Committee (Studiereiscie)
The Long Studytrip will take place in a European city and will last approximately seven days. There will be both social and study related activities during the trip. This committee has the freedom to decide the destination and the activities. The committee will also organize a theme announcement, an information evening and a reunion.This committee is open to both Dutch and English speaking students.
Network Committee (Networkcie)
The Network Committee (Netwerkcie) organizes activities that are interesting for both students who want to be more involved in the professional field and alumni members. The Network Committee organizes an alumni event, an in-house day, and a workshop. These activities provide students with an insight into the many possibilities after studying psychology and are therefore also attractive for master's students. Additionally, the committee is responsible for writing a newsletter for Labyrint alumni three times a year. This way, they can stay informed about relevant activities and developments within the association. This year the Network Committee will be open to English speaking students
Social Activities Communittee (SoAcie)
The Social Activities Committee (SoAcie) will organize a New Year's dinner, a Dies Gala, and two social activities this year. These are all activities focused on fun and bonding among members. This committee is very suitable for first-year members, and the SoAcie will be open to English speaking students this year.
Short Studytrip Committee (Bezoekcie)
The Short Studytrip committee is a friendly, active committee that organizes a trip of about five to six days each year to a foreign university city. Together with your committee, you will choose a city and organize various social and study-related activities there. Here you can think of visiting a university, but also a pub crawl or visiting an old castle! The visiting trip is an incredibly fun committee if you are interested in trip planning and guiding groups.
Starting Commitee (Startcie)
The Startcie is a brand new committee within Labyrint, aimed primarily at first-year members who are looking to take their first steps into the association. This committee offers the perfect opportunity to gain experience by organizing events such as Parents' Day, a first-year activity, and a fun boat ride! If you are looking for an approachable way to get involved in the association while organizing fun activities, the Startcie is the perfect place to start your Labyrint adventure!
Yearbook Committee (Yearbookcie)
The Yearbook Committee creates a yearbook that includes all committees, overview of the past year and other fun creative elements. If you like to be creative and design, this committee might be for you! This committee is open to Dutch and English speaking students.
